Unfortunately it always seems that tragedy seems to strike during the Holiday season. This year is no different. EMS and Fire units from Crisfield and surrounding stations responded to the area of Main Street Extended and Freedomtown Road last night for the report of a house fire. When units arrived on the scene they discovered a single family home totally engulfed in fire. The crews worked diligently, unfortunately they were unable to save anything from the home.

Because of the total loss to the family, Station 8 is accepting the following donations to help the family. If you can donate any of the following items, please either bring them to Station 8 at 2 Mill Lane here in Crisfield, or contact Alyssa Reynolds at (443) 754-4273 or Virginia Hunt at (443) 944-3921 and they will arrange to have your items picked up.

We are graciously asking for:

Women's 2X tops
Women's 16/18 pants
Women's 10.5ww/11w shoes

Men's 38Wx34L pants
Men's 2XL coat
Men's L to XL shirts
Men's overall/work attire
Men's 14 shoe/boot

Socks
Gloves
Any toiletry items such as soap, deodorant, toothpaste and toothbrushes.

If you'd rather make a monetary donation, please do so to the Lower Somerset County Ambulance and Rescue Squad in the name of Mr. and Mrs. Fitchett.
