Two Lower Somerset EMS Probationary Members Jump Into Action.

Two of our newest probationary members had to step into action today. Probationary Members Satoya Melendez and Jalon Doane came across an unresponive patient while they were off duty and immediately identified that the person was in cardiac arrest. Because both of them had just passed our CPR class they knew what needed to be done and didn't hesitate to initiate care. 9-1-1 was called and responded. It was reported that the patient regained a pulse and was breathing on their own. According to a police officer on the scene, if both Satoya and Jalon didn't jump into action and perform CPR the patient would have most definitely passed away.

Job well done to both Satoya and Jalon!
